FLUORIDE FOR TEETH: NECESSARY OR HARMFUL ?

Fluoride is a naturally found inorganic component of the tooth structure, more precisely tooth enamel. The tooth enamel consists of 96% inorganic and 4% organic components in it. Fluoride is found naturally in water ,ground soil, rocks etc. It is an important part of enamel, the outermost covering of the teeth. The various layers of tooth from inside to outside are pulp, dentine, enamel in the crown portion and pulp ,dentin and cementum in the root portion. Fluoride is the strengthening core component of the enamel of or tooth. Lack of which might lead to wearing out of the most important layer of the tooth and ultimately cavities. Many countries all over the world have made an effort of adding it to the public water supplies so that everyone will automatically get  the bare minimum amount required for keeping their teeth healthy. Fluoride intake works by the action of remineralization of the enamel covering. When the teeth erode due to reasons physical chemical or genetic either ...

Eectric toothbrushes or what we also call powered toothbrushes are the new advances slowly taking up as a replacement for the normal toothbrushes we use daily.  These electric toothbrushes were introduced in the world of dentistry to aid better in taking care of our mouth particularly teeth.  The normal toothbrushes are the manual ones which we use to give srrokes on the teeth surface to clean our teeth and remove the surface of any plaque or biofilm present.  The electric ones however provide you with the same facilities of removing all the plaque  deposited on tooth surface, only difference being this powered toothbrush will do all the work for you.  How does it work?  The electric toothbrush works by charging or via battery. HOW TO KEEP YOUR TEETH HEALTHY?

How to keep your teeth healthy? Firstly  I am glad you took the initiative to help yourself take better care of your teeth. Teeth are the only permanent things in life if you take good care of it. I would begin with the basic set of knowledge we all have. We in life get two sets of teeth like a blessing, to learn from our mistakes. That's how the natural process takes place. The first set are the milk teeth or the deciduous set of teeth, 20 in number. These deciduous or milk teeth begin developing even before a baby is born and start erupting at 6 months of a child's age. However the permanent set of teeth start erupting from the age of 6 years and continue till your 20's. Few things to do to help maintaining good health of your teeth are: 1. Brush twice daily We all know it,we all have heard it,we all agree to it but how many of us actually follow it ? In this post i'll tell you why you should be brushing twice daily and how. Most of us are wrong on the 'how'...

INSIDES ARE DARK

At the verge of emptiness The insides of my gut wrench The beats of my heart scream And the impulses in my head suffocate running through all of my neurons All through my body The atoms of my skin explode and the electrons move to their clouds Nobody is ready to witness it all Nears ones faded into the dark of my eyes The care and love and empathy all sucked into the warm hole For there is to come an apocalypse  Nobody is ready to witness it all The water of the lake frozen The flow of waterfalls reversed The trees stop growing Insects lost their pace Sadness prevails The lights have lost their switches Keys lost their bowls Corn growing in the fields like Only thing can't be stopped Those fields remind me Of the nights we stared in To the clouds and moon and stars and objects in the sky Very unknown to the destiny to come by  And say hello For us all to fall Nobody was ready to witness it all

MOTION

Have you ever stared at a fly With static eyes,  That when you look at it constantly Your eyes jump and jiggle imperceptibly. A sense of detachment from the fact that it exists The perception that it's lost from the world of reality.  We humans tend to rehabilitate We get it But we forget it That motion is important That we can't be static To be at par. To be alive.  Or else we'll be lost in the motionless world nobody will notice us in, And we'll strive.

YOU END UP LIKING THE PLACE

One way or the another, you end up liking the place. No matter what we have gone through spiritually in life. No matter where we think life will take us. We end up being at the perfect place but we dont realise. Here I have a story about a guy who did not know where he might end up. Little did he know it would be the place he needed the most at that point in life. Meet ankush, a scholar student. Brilliant at mind but weak at heart. He had been a topper all his life, achieving every goal he set for himself, completing every work way before deadline, helping mom and dad with daily chores without fail everyday, an ideal son to his family. The city life He was an expertise in every area of life. Professionalism was in his soul. But his soul never tasted what he needed the most. You see, there is balance in nature. There is a balance in people's lives too. We dont realise it but it happens to us so causally we fail to notice it. Balance is everywhere. He as a person had trained himself ...

DROP

Im like that drop of rain  Wanting to stay on your window  As you move fast in your car driving Subsiding all the pain you're having I want to touch you Want to tell you you're beautiful But you dont know my name And I dont need to know yours Because one look at you is all it takes To make me feel at home,  the peace i was lacking To forget the self I was hiding But you're moving fast And its hard to be there anymore To look at your soul for another minute even Im drifting away,  This rift of air is not letting me stay.  Oh please,I wana stay I dont wana fade away.

YOUR EYES

I find it hard Not to look at you. Because your beautiful eyes Is all I ever want to look into.  It's cruel, the world Kind are your eyes  Let me live in those I promise To never leave your sight.

WAVES

Blank into the ocean I see, The waves taking me back with them Though I still am standing at the shore I am not here anymore. It's like I cant feel my feet anymore, It's like I cant beat the sea anymore .

FIRST DATE

Such was our first date I kept wanting to just be.. With you And you kept wondering my silence Through you While you were busy telling me about your college days I was looking right through your eyes, lost in your gentle daze Brown and black forming up your eyes Just then, I saw, you caught me by surprise. Smiled as we did in our hearts, shy I felt My eyes confessed to yours, I saw you melt.

STARRY SKY

Staring at the sky is what I love On days when clouds take up the space On nights when stars compete to embrace And everyday when the moon comes to light My soul breathes, and heart dances with grace! It drives me crazy, the moon with its shine Subtle yet loudest form of love, in every gully, every ravine.

BEEN BEFORE

I feel like I have been here before Losing myself into nothingness Oh its so familiar, feel it at my core Wanting to go back, still wanting for more. Still wanting for more.

PURPLE

I had a small plant once, placed by my window It had veins on its leaves, some deep some shallow. Purple were its flowers, with soothing green leaves It was  gift by someone, but it was more than one could perceive For it was my peace, near when I used to be I had a time of day fixed, to come and sit , folding my knees Only after months of taking care,it used to bloom one day As my favorite plant for a month or two, it used to stay I used to take its pictures, to remind me of beauty on days when it couldn't be there with me For days it was gone, the flower I mean. I had learnt how to be what you call patient, I learnt to be graceful, and bright, and beautiful on days when I couldn't bloom, I was nascent. I learnt to say I'm still pretty on days I only had my green leaves Its not your job to please others, as one believes Because the beauty was always inside me, even on days I didn't look my best Even on days I didn't feel my best I had this hope, this wait The patien...

OUR NEIGHBOURS

I had spent my childhood in a small 1 BHK room in an urban area. My dad was earning enough for our small family then. Sufficient  for my grandpa, grandma, mom, dad and me. Yes, sweet and small family living in a small house with quite populated surrounding society but not so friendly neighborhood. Although, grandpa had his fair share of friends , our neighborhood mostly consisted of unfriendly bunch of families. Though, we didn't have much to be jealous of, we did face a silent treatment ever since we started living there. Maybe we were considered alien  in their social community they lived in for years . No one new ever came to inhabit in their society until we came. As my grandpa used to work there  ,my grandparents had lived there for a good amount of time . And as his time of retirement was around the corner, he called on my dad to come stay with them if he likes. He being the ideal son, came. Not alone, but with his family, which included me and my mom...

I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE LAST TIME.

I had few not many dreams about college life. Living in a middle class indian household for about 18 years of my life now, I had great hopes about finally getting my so called freedom & privacy, feeling of being independent and responsible. All of these along with the usual college stuffs which i had dreamt of originally, wearing planned outfits, trying out new hairstyles, having a few watches, shoes, bag collections to wear alternatively and be the bubbly adorable girl from movies and series who is always jolly and the prettiest of all. Who is loved by everyone. Real life couldn't be more flawed. It's the college life which drowns one into the reality, forcing us to realise that what we see  and admire in the movies or dramas are actually non existent in reality. Its difficult to realise something which was never shown or portrayed by the entertainment world of our country. Its more difficult for believers who once had a different idea and perspective about certain events in...
