YOU END UP LIKING THE PLACE

One way or the another, you end up liking the place. No matter what we have gone through spiritually in life. No matter where we think life will take us. We end up being at the perfect place but we dont realise. Here I have a story about a guy who did not know where he might end up. Little did he know it would be the place he needed the most at that point in life. Meet ankush, a scholar student. Brilliant at mind but weak at heart. He had been a topper all his life, achieving every goal he set for himself, completing every work way before deadline, helping mom and dad with daily chores without fail everyday, an ideal son to his family. The city life He was an expertise in every area of life. Professionalism was in his soul. But his soul never tasted what he needed the most. You see, there is balance in nature. There is a balance in people's lives too. We dont realise it but it happens to us so causally we fail to notice it. Balance is everywhere. He as a person had trained himself ...

OUR NEIGHBOURS

I had spent my childhood in a small 1 BHK room in an urban area. My dad was earning enough for our small family then. Sufficient  for my grandpa, grandma, mom, dad and me. Yes, sweet and small family living in a small house with quite populated surrounding society but not so friendly neighborhood. Although, grandpa had his fair share of friends , our neighborhood mostly consisted of unfriendly bunch of families. Though, we didn't have much to be jealous of, we did face a silent treatment ever since we started living there. Maybe we were considered alien  in their social community they lived in for years . No one new ever came to inhabit in their society until we came. As my grandpa used to work there  ,my grandparents had lived there for a good amount of time . And as his time of retirement was around the corner, he called on my dad to come stay with them if he likes. He being the ideal son, came. Not alone, but with his family, which included me and my mom...

I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE LAST TIME.

I had few not many dreams about college life. Living in a middle class indian household for about 18 years of my life now, I had great hopes about finally getting my so called freedom & privacy, feeling of being independent and responsible. All of these along with the usual college stuffs which i had dreamt of originally, wearing planned outfits, trying out new hairstyles, having a few watches, shoes, bag collections to wear alternatively and be the bubbly adorable girl from movies and series who is always jolly and the prettiest of all. Who is loved by everyone. Real life couldn't be more flawed. It's the college life which drowns one into the reality, forcing us to realise that what we see  and admire in the movies or dramas are actually non existent in reality. Its difficult to realise something which was never shown or portrayed by the entertainment world of our country. Its more difficult for believers who once had a different idea and perspective about certain events in...

THE WOMAN IN THAT BALCONY.

As an individual, my mother was always fond of going new places, exploring our neighborhood and places nearby. She  always took out the time to do what she loved so gracefully . It was so peaceful to watch her get ready so effortlessly every day and begin her daily exploration. That is something I am yet to learn fully, doing what you love. This story is of the time when I was a small kid. After when dad used to  leave early for work every morning, it was always me and my mom left in our sweet small home. And for the rest of the day, we were the only companion we had. As a child, I was something of a quite one, obeying every order, serving my mom. Me and mom used to take care of each other. We were like friends who understood everything about what we need at what time. We were at peace. No unnecessary expectations, no hurtings.                                      We had a routine fo...

I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

W e have been friends for a long time now.  And our past doesn't matter anymore to anyone of us anymore. Because things ended and it had to . I dont know about you but it took me some 2 years to get over you. A lot of self blaming, self hatred, false hopes and a broken heart . But one morning I woke up and I ddin't feel bad about losing you anymore. I ddin't feel like crying for what happened to me, didn't feel sorry for myself anymore. I ddin't feel the urge to look at your gifts and letters anymore and i was healed .  Its been 10 years to that day now, and we have been friends, good friends infact. We share stuffs we cannot think anyone else could understand. Most importantly we don't judge each other. We both have taken our time to come at this stage of our lives with each other.  I haven't seen you in these past 10 years. Yes you must have changed, not much but maybe little. We don't notice the changes in people we see everyday, though they age eve...

I WONDER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE NOW.

Here is a story about two different friends, who once were close but not anymore.  I do wonder what you look like now.  The face i had watched everyday for years, is now lost to me. I haven't even kept any photographs of you, or us, or any group in which you can be seen. I still hate you. But i miss you.  I hated it that you pretended to be close to me, who pretended that I'm her special friend, who I thought misses my absence, who makes special posts on facebook tagging me with captions consisting of our nicknames, who puts whatsapp DPs with me, who paid for my food, who gave me company when I was bored. You made me feel that I'm your special friend, the one friend who you truly think of as your own. I have always craved for real connections and wanted to have a group of friends so bad that I too thought you and your "nakhres " to be included in the only group of friends I had. My group consisted of only two people, me and the other person.  I'm usually scar...

THE ONE WHO HATED HER BIRTHDAY

Hate.  Why do people hate anything anyway?  Because of either of the reasons,      Cant get it     Cant be it     Dont like it One of  the very important reason or the most common as per to my experience is the first one.  So, this story is about someone who recently realised she doesnt particularly like her birthday, infact she hates that day.  She used to be the quite one.  Earlier in her childhood, she used to seek validation, of any form, from anyone. For anyone to just look at her and feel proud for once. To look into her eyes and say you are a lovely human being, To be appreciated for all the silent work she has been doing for others because she knew bragging is not cool. Makes you look stupid. She ddint wana be stupid. She wanted herself to be seen for what she really was.  Since no one ever even noticed her, it was easy for her to hate herself, since all her validation depended on others. Others we...
